Default Inches vs. Pounds

I've been stuck at my current weight for about 2 weeks now, mainly because I fell off the wagon a few times, but got right back up and went back to controllling my carbs. That's the bad news.

The good news is that despite my food [and alcohol] mishaps, I've been constantly going to the gym [even joined a local gym so I have no excuse when I don't feel like driving!] and -- GASP! -- noticed that my clothes have become looser and -- DOUBLE GASP!! -- I can now fit into my skinny jeans!

Anyone else find an inconsistency in their weight loss vs. inch loss?

Anyway, instead of tracking my progress in lbs., I think I am going to keep track of my measurements and track my progress in inches instead. I'll still weigh myself, but knowing that the scale doesn't always reflect my true progress, I'll take my scale readings with a grain of salt.

Anyway [and I posted this on the before & after forum] here's a photo of my in my skinny jeans [yay!] taken today:

Great shrinking success!!

Many people find that even though their weight stays the same they can go down a dress size or more if they stick to the plan and exercise!

This is one reason we encourage members to make a note of their measurements so they can see the evidence of Atkins working even though the scale stays at the same mark!

On a side note, I'm on vacation visiting relatives here in New Jersey. I've been in the US for two weeks and I've lost an inch off my waist. How cool is that?!!!

Too bad I don't have access to a scale so I can't tell if I've lost weight or not.

Yes YES AND YES... Ignore pounds... focus on inches. Just weigh your self every few weeks.

This was thge BIGGEST mistake I made last time around. Over a period of 4 weeks you can loose 15-20 lbs but if you measure at smaller intervals you can actually GAIN a pound or two.

The only cavaet that I'm noticing is that I think once you approach a <35" weight loss around your midsection will slow.

I think thats what has happened to me..... I think the fat loss is now being more evenly distributed across my body which has slowed down my waist measurements...
