| I stayed on induction for more than a year till I had lost my first 100 pounds, so as long as you are not feeling restricted by the induction-level of food choices and carbs there is no reason not to stay on induction till you feel more secure in your Atkins eating. But many people find they lose more and are happier with their menus once they start the OWL ladder and are able to incorporate berries and nuts/seeds etc. The only reason to get on the scales after 14 days would be to make a note of your initial loss to get some idea of your level of metabolic resistance to losing weight and work out your likely CCLL, so if you really do not want to weigh yourself you dont have to. Perhaps there is someone you can trust not to tell you the actual numbers who can weigh you and make a note in a sealed envelope for when you feel able to read the 14 day result? Someone impersonally concerned like a doctor or nurse in the doctor's practice might be a good ally. Have you made measurements too? That is another way to chart your progress, as people often lose inches without losing any poundage.
