As for the mayonnaise....it is a natural fat that you may eat liberally from....and all mayonnaise that one purchases has some trace amounts of sugar in it....but it is still okay to eat. *okay those of you who have been teaching me....how did I do?? LOL * |

| To be honest with you, I did Atkins successfully by not allowing a minutia of something wrong. It didn't matter if the label stated 0 Carbs but in the ingredients I would see sugar, whey or whatever DANDR says I'm not suppose to have. Do it squeaky clean, that means if you are cooking something wrong for family don't use the same fork/spoon to cook yours, I mean its that serious!!!! I had success like that without cravings but I fell off because of a choice and that's a whole another issue. Back to your question about the Mayo, use one without any sugar/carbs/anything restricted. good luck.

| Thank you so much both of you! And about that cheese. It's just Tescos Cheese Slices. Thin cheese sliced each packed in plastic and you can buy them in packages of 10 |

| Oh yeah Betty, the cheese, I was just rambling on. DO NOT eat cheese slices!!!! Buy your cheese (the types are in DANDR). Cheese slices are evil if you ask me, they can't be trusted. Slice your own cheese, doing Atkins right is getting back to nature, back to the unprocessed foods (although low-carb has become a money machine and people will like to profit) Also beware of those cheese cubes they are dusted with cornstarch. Get in touch with simplicity and adhere to only what is in DANDR and follow suit, in the end its just not worth it!!

| No problem, that's why we're an Atkins family, people out there will steer you wrong.

| They dust cheese with starch ?!?!? Some Mayos are more sugary than others, like the dressing variety. Dukes or Hellman's Real Mayos are best. Sliced cheese isn't your best bet, but since you can only have 3-4 oz/day on induction and the slices generally have 1-2 g carbs each which you must count; better to have the harder cheeses with 1 or less per ounce.
