| How long have you been on Atkins? Do you work out? I dropped some weight my first few weeks but after that I'd stall for a week or so - even gain and then drop. If it weren't for measuring and seeing/feeling the difference in my clothes chances are good that I would have gotten discouraged and given up... As to your question, yes you're likely to lose ## faster when you have more to lose. But one thing that I've learned is that nothing is guaranteed! Give it time! Good luck!

| Your first few days you, anbody, will lose water weight. That's the only time consistently that the lbs will come off before the inches for everybody. You have a ways to go. You may see it on the scale, you may see it in the measuring tape, you may see it in your face and you may see it in other places that aren't as measurable (tops of shoulders, neck, wrists, etc), but you clothes start fitting better. And as you go, you may appear to have lost based on one of those one week, one the next. Me, my clothes would start bagging a bit, then the lb(almost always 1) would come off the next week, then the official measurements would change. YMMV (your mileage may vary). Stick with it, see how much better you feel, that's the best gauge. Hugs Denise |
