| Hi Musu, Honestly, it's different for everyone. I lost 12 pounds during induction, I've heard of others losing more, and even others losing hardly nothing at all. I can understand how you're feeling (I've been very determined to stay on track to prove naysayers wrong), but first and foremost you need to do this for yourself. Don't worry about whether or not your dad believes in this way of life...all that matters is if YOU do. Keep in mind also, that if you're feeling that they're giving you flack about your food choices, that it is a healthy diet. Mention to them that it's NOT just meat, cheese and eggs. Vegetables are a very important part of induction, and when you start climbing the rungs dairy, nuts, fruit and more are all a part of this "diet" as well.

| Hi - first and foremost, you should do this for yourself and your health and not others. Explain this to your father and let him know it's not about how rapid your loss is, but that you are healthier in the process. Also, I wanted to comment on your goal weight. A height of 5'5 and weight of 105 is going to be on the low end of the bmi scale (underweight) A healthy weight for your height is around 113-145. |

| The problem with "showing them" is that sometimes your so desperate to "show em" that you try to cut corners. The biggest mistakes folks make is to 1) cut the fat thinking that they can do this low carb and low fat. Doesn't work. 2) Not eat any carbs, also doesn't work 3) Not read the book and not understanding how the plan works- 4) Not exercise. make a plan, what your going to eat, how much your going to eat ( and remember you can and will gain on a starvation diet) When and what exercise your going to do. Drink your water, (not liquid) water. Start a journal down below in the journal section, write what your plans are and how your going to do that. And remember that if you lose 5 pounds during Induction, your right on the mark. You should lose steadily about a half to a full pound a week after that. |
