| if you mean the meal plan start now discussing with the staff what foods are availible. many plans have salad bars and food allergy special foods. they have diabetic foods too so you should if you look and plan ahead be able to do your Atkins no trouble. As to the sickness not every body gets physically ill from induction. it will depend on your food choices and your genes. happy low carbing.

| Induction flu is the ill feeling that happens in between starting induction, while your body is still using up the carbs stored in the body and flushing toxins, including the brief period when it has run out of stored carbs, and the state of ketosis which begins after that period (provided you don't cheat which will prolong the transition to ketosis). Once ketosis kicks in you will feel more energetic and MUCH less ravenous. In the dorm if you can a small microwave or hot burner and a small refrigerator could go a looooong way. In the mean time, I'd suggest keeping a cooler at least, so you can have fresh foods last longer. Some canned veggies you can have and porkskins, and foods such as corned beef, vienna sausage, beef sticks, you may do ok eating, but whole, fresh food is better, as those generally have some carbs you must count, plus the not-so-great nitrates/nitrites and other additives. Keep a copy of the acceptable foods pages in your pocket, along with emergency snacks and water. When you can, choose from the list (like in the cafeteria), and remenber, if its burgers or pizza night, just toss the bread and katsup.
