You are very luckly to be losing a pound a day. EXtremely Lucky infact. The good Doctor states that the first two weeks of induction we should lose about 5 to 10 percent of what we want to lose and then we'll lose about a pound to 2.5 pounds a week after that. Don't fret, your doing great.

It's normal to have fluctuations. During induction, it's only recommended you weigh yourself at the end of 2 weeks. After induction, weighing yourself once a week might be ideal.

I found that I gained a few pounds every now and then, and still do. I have noticed that, especially during TOM I gain some from water weight and whatnot, and then sometimes I will just hold in some water when I drink a lot (which you ALWAYS should!) It always seems to me though that I will gain a pound and then the next day or so will lose more than I normally do. So it really all evens out. Don't fret about it...trust me! That is what made me start eating chocolate again when I started Atkins last year! It's not worth it!

I gained 4lbs one day, then dropped 2 the next but ended the week with a 2lb gain. Its usually water retention and you will find inches still decrease even if it makes a liar of the scales.

Thanks everyone. I am so glad to hear that it is normal. I did feel like I had still lost some inches even though the scale wasn't saying so, so I didn't panic too much.
