| New Me I would suggest that you get the book. You can get it super cheap on ebay.

| If you can't go without coffee, you can try a non dairy creamer (powder). Be sure to get the regular one, not the fat-free one. Fat free has more carbs. Also make sure you include the creamer in your carb count.

| I'm on my fifth day of Induction. Before I started, I drank 24-32 oz of coffee every day, but I've been cold turkey since Monday. My refusal to give up coffee kept me from trying this WOE for several months. My weight gain eventually got so out of control that I had to bite the bullet and go after this thing full-bore. Caffeine doesn't affect me, but I do love the taste and the ritual of my morning coffee. Unfortunately, the loads of artificial sweeteners I put in coffee stalled my weight loss. The things you're asking permission to do defeat the purposes of Induction. Milk is not allowed on Induction and neither is half & half. The doc warned us never to skip meals when we're doing this, so that's another thing that can work against you. He doesn't expressly forbid caffeine, but permits some decaf. (I feel your frustration on that, because, like you, I can taste the difference between decaf and regular. Decaf really is gross and I won't drink it.) I guess what I'm saying is that you have to decide what you want more. If you want the weight loss, do yourself the favor of doing it right. If you'd rather have the coffee...well, I understand.

| I put heavy cream in my coffee... This is in no way saying that you shouldn't give it up since some folks do indeed stall with how many things they add to it, etc. I do suggest you buy the book and read it thoroughly.

| Ok, New Me, I drank coffee every morning my entire weightloss journey. This is not recommended, but I did it. I use heavy cream, like Lyssie, it tastes so much better and you don't need much, and Splenda (don't overdo it). Coffee has carbs too! Don't drink it at lunch. The rest of the day should be about drinking water. You should be eating 20g carbs or under for Induction. Review the Induction legal food list. NOW, about that dinner skipping... NEVER skip meals! You will lower your metabolism (not a good thing) if you go that many hours without eating. Just think how many hours you are going without food, if you skip dinner! If you aren't very hungry at dinner, don't eat much. Just a small dinner with protein/fat/carbs will suffice. Take my advice to heart please, your weightloss will suffer in the future, if you don't.Quote:
