Default Meals - Question

Hi,

I'm wondering if I could not be eating enough?

I started induction last Monday (so this would be my second week) and I have been doing just fine. I do not get cravings for sweet now, just for healthier things like protein and vegetables. But today, all of a sudden, I've felt a sudden rise in my hunger. From what I've read, your appetite stabilizes and even reduces on this diet, so I'm a bit worried. However, my typical meal consists of about 8 ounces of chicken and some veggies .. and I know we aren't supposed to calculate calories but according to fitday, this would be about 300 calories or so - would that be considered a small meal? Should I increase the frequency of my meals? And take in five small meals of 300 calories each?

Please advise!

Thank you!

The rule is we need to eat until satified. Never go hungry cause that will cause your weight loss to stall faster than anything

Hi. Don't worry.

You should feed your hunger. Your caloric needs change based on your activity level. So on more active days, you will need more food than less active days.

Learn to feed your hunger and you won't need to count calories. Also you'll learn to self-regulate your food intake.

I know it sounds crazy, but believe me, alot of people have really wacky eating habits because we eat out of habit rather than out of need.

your body won't let you starve. So if you are hungry eat. Now, I don't mean you should eat a 14 course meal. Eat a couple bites of a high fat snack. Wait about 30 minutes. And see if you are still hungry.

The other thing you might want to try is to drink some water. Sometimes our bodies mistake hunger for thirst. So drink a glass of water. Wait about 30 minutes and see if you are still hungry/craving food. If not, then you were thirsty.
