| Yes the weight loss rate slows down; the amount you lost during induction reflects not only the fat you burned during that time, but also the switch into ketosis has a diuretic effect, so some is water loss, plus your body does some initial cleaning out, ie. bowels, toxins, etc. You should also expect, whether or not you continue induction, that if you weigh frequently you will notice regular ups and downs on the scale; though over time there will be a downward trend in the numbers. Periodically, the weight may go up for reasons such as TOM, medications, too much salt or unusually heavy exercise, so pay less attention to the scales, and look at your measurements shrinking instead. There are frequent no-weigh challenges for people who look so much at the scales it gets discouraging.

| Absolutely, there is a lull after induction for many of us, but just stick it out and you'll start losing again in no time. By the way, 13 pounds in 17 days is to die for. I am lucky to lose a pound a month

| 13lbs in 17 days !! Woohoo!!! You should be really pleased with that, the key here is to keep going and YES excercise - it's a non-negotiable part of this WOL and believe me, once you get going it feels gooood! Kay
