| Sorry you aren't feeling well Pink. None of us are guaranteed weight loss every day. My weight fluctuates all over the place. I only "count" my scale weight once a week....and lately as I get closer to goal, I'm "counting" it less and less because it's up and down like a mexican jumping bean. Anyway...this is about YOU and not me...LOL I don't agree with the concept of "free days". I think if I allowed myself a free 'day' it would turn into a free week,month,year--I know from experience!!!. And, I definitely don't want to UNDO what I've already DONE (thanks, Outback Jess). Anyway, I hope that the day after Christmas, you make your very next bite be legal and get back to your plan. Besides weight loss, Atkins has changed my life in so many ways. Energy, lifestyle changes, attitude changes, improved health, no more heartburn, headaches, body aches...and the list can go on. I hope you find that as well.

| I am sorry to read you are not 'in the pink' of health, Pinkribbon. But congratulations on carrying on exercising despite feeling poorly ![]() Like Validrouge I dont believe in the 'free day' concept, knowing at the start of my Atkins journey that I would find it hard to climb back on the wagon after a day off it. Maybe you can try to make your non-induction eating choices from foods that are allowed back in later on OWL and not completely eat off-plan. So maybe look at the maintenance allowed foods and try to stick with the sort of foods you will allow yourself later when you are at goal rather than indulge in a carbfest of white flour/sugar filled and processed foods. There are many induction-legal foods that are tasty and can feel 'celebratory' - smoked salmon, cream cheese, prawns, avocado, olives and ham to name but a few as well as any other meats and hard cheeses, so perhaps you can stick to them on the whole with just a small additional 'indulgence' of higher OWL-rung foods? But whatever you choose to eat make sure your next meal after 'the day' is back to induction-legal. Dont forget that alcohol will be used by your body as fuel before it returns to carbs/fat/protein as an energy source so if you do indulge you must expect a short delay in weightloss and not be tricked into giving up on your chosen way of eating just because you see this or even an increase in weight after eating/drinking off-plan.
