| I've known alot of people on atkins and have been on it twice before myself. Most of the women I know have taken longer to lose than men but seem to be more successful in keeping it off (probably cause they worked harder to get there). If you are following the rules of induction, it'll come off. Also, invest in some ketone strips and pay more attention to those than the scale. If the ketone strips are violet, you're in good shape. |

| It seems like 3 lbs is ho hum. 3 lbs, i am so excited for you. When i started this WOE I sounded just like you and it's been 9 weeks and i have lost 29 lbs. Just keep it up and you will succeed. Alwayes keep you eye on the final prize. Good luck. |

| i know how it feels to not lose as much, but hopefully things'll look up. i'm in the same sort of annoyance right now so all i can say is chin up and we'll all get through the disappointing days!

| 3lbs in 7 days?!?!?! That's great!! First off, you really shouldn't weigh yourself before the two weeks is up...for exactly this reason. Also, try not to compare yourself to other's...especially a man. Men lose weight faster, that's just the way it is. Seriously though....3lbs in 7 days is great!! Keep it up.

| i've found that if i weight myself in the morning, its a much more accurate number. try that...weigh yourself in the morning. that way u dont have the whole day in ya. |

| We can expect to lose 5-10% of the weight we need to lose during the first 14 days of the Diet. So a person with a 100 pound goal can expect to lose 5-10 pounds. A person with a 10 pound goal can expect to lose 1/2 to 1 pound. You have a 73 pound goal. you've lost 3 after the first week. You've already lost 4% of the weight you need to lose. That's great! Just keep doing what you're doing and recheck on Day 15. By the way, don't compare your losses to a man. Women and men are different due to a number of things including our monthly hormonal shifts. So generally we lose weight at a slower rate than men.

| Also - if you GAINED 3lbs in a week you'd be FLIPPING OUT. Be exactly THAT excited for removing 3lbs from your body in a measley little week. No sympathy here - just a pat on the back for a job well done!!
