Default One week today I started..how far off am I?

Well it's been a heck of a week...I thought the headaches were going to push me over the edge...was waiting till that boost of energy hit....which I think it finally did. I've been trying to walk a mile each evening and "only" missed two of the last 7 nights...yesterday I also started walking for about 20 minutes during lunch...every little bit helps right?

I know I've done some things wrong....like eating nuts (bad advice from a friend on the southbeach), too much greens, and last night we went to Panda express for dinner...I had the chicken and mushrooms and some plain chicken ...not sure what exactly the seasoning was, but it was yummy. didn't have any rice or noodles. I was enjoying the tea...way to much and happen to read the big container that said "passionfruit tea"......how much did I mess up? I stopped right in mid sip...it's so hard to think I am giving up so many things I've eaten all my life and then mess it up with something so silly as a beverage...URGH

Water is being easier to drink and I feel myself thirsty most of the time...is this normal?

I need to buy a scale and a measuring tape.......but my family is not encouraging this...they say they don't want me to be disappointed and they are happy I've been "faithful" for a whole 7 days...

Well, that's it...any advice, words or wisdom...anything will be appreicated.

Regarding the thirst....yes...I drink more than a gallon a day and I am incredibly thirty all the time pretty much. I think the more you drink, the more your body wants!

I know now I can't have nuts on induction, and really, what about the passionfruit tea...is it bad on induction?

Both are bad on induction, but it doesn't mean you failed it just means you keep on keepin on. Good Luck!

The question has to be examined more exactly to be answered.

What sort of passionfruit tea?
Was the tea sweetened?
What kind of nuts?
How many/much of (either)?
Did the tea have caffeine?
Did you add artificial sweeteners?

Chances are the tea was zero carbs, made from steeping a blend of mostly regular tea leaves and the leaves of passiflora. You may have got some caffeine, which is not technically allowed during induction. If you used art. sweetener, you should count a carb for each packet.

Nuts vary in net carb content by type, and also are not technically allowed during induction, but again, you should count the carbs to estimate the impact on your total. If you kept your total carbs in line with the nuts, don't sweat it; but Atkins wants most of the carb limit to come from the allowed veggies during induction, which are of the lowest impact on blood sugar.
Good job with the daily exercise, hang in there another week and consider moving to OWL where more choices are "legal".
