Default Post Vegetarian Atkin Induction

I was on Atkins almost 3 years ago and lost 40 pounds almost effortlessly. Then directly after i became a vegetarian thinking this is how i would maintain. Now i have gained back all of my weight. So here i am again eating meat to loose weight.

Welcome to our ADBB family

Do you intend to return to a mainly vegetarian way of eating after you lose weight with Atkins? Most people who use Atkins to lose weight then return to their old style of eating end up gaining the weight back!!

It is possible to follow Atkins rules and eat little or no meat if you prefer it!
Some people even do Atkins and stay vegetarian.

Here is a thread giving some guidelines on Vegetarian Atkineering
Can I do Atkins as a Vegetarian?

In that case you shouldnt have any problems maintaining after you reach goal if you do all four stages of Atkins this time!!
So after induction, plan on moving through OWL so you are at the premaintenance phase when you have a few pounds left to lose.
This should let you get used to eating the foods not allowed on induction and be better placed to maintain your goal weight for life!!

Oh - and

I have found that with in OWL I am eating much less meat then during induction. Too much meat makes me feel gross. Did you move up the rungs the last time you did Atkins? I think if I lost all my weight on the induction phase I would want to go vegetarian after that.
