| You are still going through the "transitional phase", in a couple of days you will be full of life - I can almost guarantee it. It sounds as though you are going through something that we call "induction flu", its where your body is starting to get used to the lack of carbs / sugar in your diet. In a couple of days you will feel like a new person. Rich

| I didnt have these problems, but then I have never really had a sweet tooth. I really took to this diet like a duck to water. I aim to make the same happen for you.

| Give it just a little more time hon, you'll be fine. Here is some helpful hints, when you go to the store, (I know it's hard because they throw this stuff in your face sometimes....) just stick to the aisle's that you know have things you need. Usually the outside ones. STAY AWAY from the candy aisle, and when you go to check out, try and use a check out that is candy free. I know it's hard, but your doing so good, 5 pounds is nothing to sneeze at, that's 5 pounds you no longer have to carry around! Good luck! |

| hang strong there chicky, nothing is gonna taste as good as thin feels........you can do this..... this is my day four..... but i was on sb for a month before i bopped over hear so i really dont have these cravings any more......but i know what your talking about..... my cravings wasnt for sweets ....it was for white rice...i know sounds a bit crazy huh.... but rice was my buddy...every meal had to have it...or it was just that for a meal.... you will get over it trust me... If i can over come rice... you can over come cake... day 12 and five pounds down ....wow good for you....dont forget to drink plenty of water.... pretend water is your cake...your easter eggs.....your chocolate......... do what you gotta do but dont cave....your already 5 lbs lighter..... lets go for 10 lbs..... |

| While I agree that it will get better, Dr A also recommended L-Glutamine for sugar cravings. 500mg prior to each meal. You can do it! |

| If you absolutely, positively must have chocolate, try some of the chocolate mousse/ chocolate cheesecake recipes that the board offers. Sometimes, just a bite or two (remember to moderate your servings) is enough to get you through. I like the chocolate cheesecake, which I eat with a baby's spoon (little tiny one). I get more bites that way. I also savor each bite, letting it dissolve in my mouth (mmmmm).... I find that four or five bites is enough to completely drive away the demon.... My choc cheesecake: 8 oz softened cream cheese 4 sweet n low 1/3 c heavy whipping cream Blend together on high... add 2 T unsweetened cocoa. This makes ten good sized servings. It's thick like cheesecake, so little bites are good. I store it in a tupperware bowl, take out a tablespoon or two as I need it. (Hubby is also on the diet, so we share....)

| LOL, but if portion control is not your strongest point, don't do it.
