I am re-starting the diet for the I lost count time.I always end up stoping because I feel shaky, quizy and really sick.No energy.I was so happy when I saw that I could have wasa high fiber bread and bran crisp.I read the thread regarding these products,,I just want to know did any one try these during induction and if so what was the result?I think these might give me more umfe(not an actual word)and a better chance of success this time.

Thos crackers are Atkins Friendly, but not Atkins Induction Phase friendly.

Induction Rule #4 states in part:
Quote:
Eat absolutely no fruit, bread, pasta grains, starchy vegetables or dairy products other than cheese, cream or butter.
Induction Rule #5 states in part:
Quote:
Eat nothing that is not on the acceptable foods list. And that means absolutely nothing!
If you have a hard time sticking to Induction, just remember Induction lasts a minimum of 2 weeks. After that time, you may move to the On-Going Weight Loss phase where you will continue to lose weight and can legally add on foods like WASA crackers, if you choose.

It's one of my pet-peeves that too many people mistakenly believe that Induction is the entire Atkins Diet. It's not. And it's another pet-peeve that too many people erroneously believe that they will stop losing weight during the On-Going Weight Loss phase. And it's another pet-peeve of mine that too many people believe that staying on Induction will quicken their weight loss: that's not the case. If only people will start looking up their degree of metabolic resistance in the charts in the book, they'll see that they do not qualify for high metabolic resistance. Sorry for the mini rant, but these are pet-peeves of mine.

After two weeks of Induction, move on if the Induction foods are too restrictive for you.

And I have noticed that I feel much better during OWL than I did the entire time of Induction. I had a lot of the same symptoms as you. My energy level started picking up around 30g of carbs, and I feel better at 40g. I think my body functions better at a higher level of carbs than Induction allows. You don't have much weight to lose, so I would recommend moving into each rung of OWL and upping your carbs by 5g each week when you're finished with Induction.

I was really sick for the first 2 weeks of induction (more than that actually). I had nausea, headaches, shakes. I felt like a drug addict coming off drugs, and my drugs were carbs/sugar. I had no idea how I was going to get through it, and it felt like it was never going to end, BUT it did. Hang in there sweetie. It DOES stop, and it's so much easier. You look great, and congrats on the 20lb loss

Yes... sounds like you had a case of induction flu, which though horrid, is good in that it's a sign that your body is weaning itself away from carbs.

Who says you have to have eggs for breakfast?
In the 3 plus years I have been Atkineering I have never had eggs first thing!! If I fancy eggs I usually choose eggs and bacon for a lunchtime meal. Often it is the simplest 'legal' choice on a cafe menu.

Think outside the box if you dont like 'traditional breakfast dishes' - I often make extra portions of dinner so as to have tasty leftovers for breakfast ready to go.
