| Post some of your daily menus so we get an idea of what you are consuming. I do not know if it is normal, sorry. Are you drinking all your water and working out?

| With weight loss, it ebbs and flows. Sometimes you see a big drop, sometimes nothing for a few days, or even weeks. It's totally normal. Just stick with it. |

| I dont know what your menu looks like but I can tell you that if no hidden sugar or carbs are getting in and youre drinking your water, eating your veggies and exercising, everything is normal. This happened to me the first time I was on Atkins, I would lose 9lbs one week and the next couple of days not lose everything and then WHOOSH next day I was 3lbs down. Dont sweat it, that scale can our enemy on some days and a best friend on others...Im learning not to trust the little two faced thing

| Hi spacelace, you're doing well on your induction. It's wonderful that you have someone to do Atkins with you too! I agree, don't try and take any notice of the scales until your 14 days are up. I know it's hard, but everday, little things can effect what those little monsters read lol From salt intake, to TOM, to exercised muscles storing water for a tiny while and your body is also adjusting to fat burning mode. Keep up your good work and btw men are lucky, they always lose faster so ignore your fiances losses lol

| It's very common to have a pause in weight loss at the end of Induction and the beginning of OWL. You may or may not see your measurements continue to drop at this time. You could post some menus if you're really concerned. How much do you each have to lose?

| Just a little too much cheese maybe...othe than that, your menu looks fine. Read this thread about Post-Induction Stall Syndrome. PISS-Post Induction Stall Syndrome- a reality to be expected And this one about weight loss not being linear Weight loss is not linear After reading those, back away from the scale.

| This is a very normal reaction to the Atkins WOE. This has happened to countless people who have come to the boards and only leave frusturated cause they didn't lose in the second week. I will tell you now that your body is having an adjustment period and that's also why we say to only weigh at the end of the 2 weeks. I know how frusturating it can be to see no loss when you are doing everything right. Your body will adjust and will get back to losing but, you need to be patient with it. I lost 12 pounds in my firsat week then I lost nothing for 6 weeks after that. I can tell you I was SUPER frusturated. If I had worried about the no loss I know that I would not be down where I am today 122 pounds lost in a little over 1 year and 8 months. So don't worry keep your head up and keep going on your path. The weight loss with resume. You may also want to read up on Something called PISS (post induction stall syndrom) this also happens to countless people in between weeks 2 and 6 it all works out in the end but at the time it seems like it takes forever. | Thank you everyone for your replies! I just wanted to know if this is normal- and I guess it is. I will put the scale away for a while and watch my dairy intake. Thank you again!! |
