| Hey there, Your situation sounds a little tough at the moment, but hang in there! It is great and inspiring that your blood sugar and weight improved already. Don't let relatives tempt you - it is possible they'll change their tune and their ways when they see the successes that you've had. That's definately happened with my family. I look forward to seeing your 'I made it' post on Tuesday |

| Thats great, sounds like your to a good start. Hang in there you will no longer crave the carbs. Im on day 4 too and I have cookies from my husband and son sitting on the counter that I normally would just have to have one type of thing. Now I can just walk by then and not even care of crave them. Just remember how bad those foods make you feel after you eat them. Yeah they taste great at the time but oh boy you sure pay for it later and will waste all this hard work so far. You will do it Im sure... Yahhh on the weight lose and lower blood sugar.

| I agree with aussie: think about how great you feel and will continue to feel. If you were to eat a carb-heavy food, you'd most likely feel sluggish, maybe even moody, and would most certainly be hungry hungry hungry shortly thereafter. Keep it up. You can make it to day 4...and then 5....6... I agree with you: water is amazing.

| All you have to do is hang on long enough to get over the hump. Once you do that all the cravings are gone. You'll find you can walk right past someone eating ice cream and, wonder of wonders, you won't care. |

| Congratulations on the loss and more importantly on the determination to succeed. I started Atkins one week ago today and am amazed that I've already lost 14 pounds! Stick with it works. There's a great support system here. If you have any questions or just need help beating a cheat come here and you'll get exactly what you need. |

| thank you all so much for the support & encouragement. Something did happen yesterday that i am soooo proud of myself for. My nephew who lives with us he is only 8 and dosent understand his aunt cant have carb filled cookies (which i love!!!!) anymore. so he comes home last night from a church thing with his parents and he had made a point to give me a special present 3 cookies he had snuck in wrapped in a napkin. I told him "oh how wonderful" & gave him a hug & a kiss....but when he walked into his room to get ready for bed, i closed my bedroom door and put the cookies at the bottom of the trash---before i could be tempted. yeah for me day 3 still going strong
