Default question about what people eat

Hi

I was on Atkins awhile ago and am thinking of getting back on again! I ate the same thing everyday.

Canadian bacon
2 eggs

Hamburger (lean no bread obviously)

Salad with feta cheese and radishes

snacks would be peperoni and cheese sticks.

How many people eat hamburger? It did fill me up although I am not always that big of a meat eater. I also had the water.

Any suggestions?

I am 5'4 and weight 165. I love to eat and like to eat even when I am not hungry!

I have the book by the way I just haven't read it in awhile

I always have hamburger patties in the freezer. They make for a quick, tasty meal. I'm not a huge fan of chicken, especially the boneless skinless kind. Every so often I will get a rotisserie chicken and keep it in the fridge and pull some of the meat off of it and put it on a salad. It's usually really tasty and moist. When I'm at a sports bar, I order buffalo wings and a salad with blue cheese dressing.

For my at home meals, I like broiled or grilled fish, steaks on the grill, and ocassionally pork chops. Breakfast for me is usually, but not always eggs, ocassionally bacon, a little cheese, a chopped tomato, or whatever I feel like having. Lunch is usually chopped tomatos, cucumbers, or a mixed salad, with blue cheese or vinegar and oil.

I like variety. It keeps things interesting.

One of my favorite veggies right now is broccoli with a little herb butter and parmesean reggiano. Very easy to make and super tasty.

Hi

That is great to know about the hamburgers. I need something to keep me from eating the wrong things. The hamburger seems very filling.

Welcome back to Atkins!

Look over the Induction Acceptable Foods List in the book. There are PLENTY of food choices for Induction. Any meat is fair game, plus there are about 54 vegetables from which to choose.

Talking Re: question about what people eat

I've been on atkins 6 weeks "19 pounds lost". I eat a better food variety now... Then I did before. I LOVE Linda's low carb recipes http://genaw.com/lowcarb/index.html I make new stuff all the time. I hardly ever eat the same thing. I would not be able to stay on atkins eating the same ALL THE TIME!!! YES it requires a lot of cooking i've stocked up on spices "i never was a spice user before". I don't always have breakfest food for breakfest: this morning I had some seasoned pork chops. Lunch romaine & red leaf lettuce with skinless non breaded chicken strips blue cheese dressing. For super i'm making a quiche eggs heavy cream ham and american cheese spinach "i'll have leftover for tommorw morning. when i do have a burger i spice it up into a pizza burger tad of tomatoes or a tablespoon low carb pizza sause a few mushrooms some kind of cheeses. I leaned QUICK to get creative. Someone on here gave me the linda web link when i was on induction "it was a life saver" i've made soups, pizza, quiches, chicken, pork, it helped me so much! P.S i have noticed it anything i make is high in salt it slows my loss i never add salt to anything i limit my home made soups because of water retention.

Thanks, Yes that is one thing with me I am not a cook! I like the frozen vegtables that I can put in the microwave. I make salads etc. I am one of those fix it in less than 10 minutes people! I look at the book also and try to find some things I like!

Sometimes when I am in the mood for fried chicken I will make myself a treat. I'll take an egg and beat it add all my spices and did the chicken in then fry it. e

Also the pancakes and the mock danish are good!!
