Thumbs up Nice surprise

I started induction on monday and have been trying new recipes and new veggies to make it more interesting.

This morning I had raw mushrooms and spinach with mayo - it was divine !!! I can't wait to eat it again.

Did anyone else have little surprises when they started atkins ?

Lots of food surprises for me
I went for weeks having celery sauteed in butter with my evening meal, yum! (I still love it) Also, I never realised how much I would enjoy tacos, without the shell It's my favourite meal still. Seasoned minced beef served with shredded lettuce, tomato, (olives sometimes) grated cheese and sour cream. Making me hungry lol

Zucchini, slightly broiled but still crunchy, has a bit of a floral-ish taste, like a certain kind of white peach I had last summer. Almost rosey.

I'll reiterate what sweetgirl said: It was a pleasant surprise to feel full of rich, filling foods, not feel starved, and still be losing weight. It goes completely against everything I had ever learned, but it's good to learn new things, right?

And my love affair with cheese continues

I discovered I like asparagus! I grill it on my indoor grill with olive oil drizzled on top.
