| courtney- sounds like "induction flu" to me. i had it for 4-5 days when i first started. try taking some advil or tylenol for the headache. the loose bowels are normal symptoms, as this diet is a diuretic. and the general feeling of weirdness is just because your body is getting adjusted to low carb, good foods, rather than the overdose of stuff we used to eat like white breads and sugary things. have some hot tea if it makes you feel better. i also took a few naps during induction, because i was tired alot. stick with it, and you will come out on the good side pretty soon! good luck! |

| thanks for the reply, i was starting to think I was coming down with something. I feel better knowing that its normal. I was on atkins before when i was 16 til i was 18 off and on for 2 years and lost 65 pounds and dont remember feeling this sick, Induction is a killer !!

| I had the same symptoms (dizziness--I actually DID faint), but it was a week into Induction. I never got the Induction flu. For me, it was because I was not getting enough carbs. I made sure that I got a little closer to 20, and felt better. I did this by making sure that my extra veggie that I got was one of the higher carb ones rather than just eating 3 cups of lettuce. If you select a veggie that is higher in fiber, your bowel movements might be less loose. Other than that, just give it a week or so to adjust to your new WOE. Yay for you for not getting discouraged and giving up. Better, you came to talk about your concerns. Hope you feel better!
