| HI there 7lbs is very good, yeah some is bound to be water but it is nice to have a kick start like that! Keep off the fizzy drinks though - presume you are talking about coke etc which contains aspartamine - NO NO in Atkins I know nothing about the jelly - assume it is very low carb / carb free - but still have to watch for sweeteners - although actually - it isn't on the induction food list is it? anj Good luck |

| I know it's not on the induction list but last time I was on this diet I lost nearly three stone and had stacks of fizzy drinks. I'm thinking perhaps that aspartame doesn't stall everyone, and I seem to be getting on fine at the moment. Also, I've not got a huge amount to lose (about another 2 stone) so I'm wandering whether the odd can of diet pepsi will do me harm? any thoughts? |

| you are one of the lucky ones if it doesnt stall you!! Though i would do the first 14 days completely by the book if i were you, you can always bring the drinks back in after that... If your drinking "stacks" of fizzy drinks, are you drinking enough water? would hate you to get the kidney problems i did the first time round on this WOE.

| To be fair, I'm drinking about 5 times the amount of water as I am other drinks. I've averaged around 5-6 pints per day of pure H2O. Is this enough? |

| dependent on your country - pint sizes seem to differ for some reason... In the uk its 20oz so your saying you have 100-120oz a day... you should be having 64oz plus a further 8 for every 25lbs you have to lose. I would say your doing pretty good there, i average about 6-7 pints a day so im well over what i should have. i crave water by the gallon though.
