| Emma is right on both counts. YES you have to eat something, and YES it doesn't have to be "breakfast" food! Eat leftovers for breakfast, eat veggies, eat a chicken breast with cheese. Just make sure you eat something. Perhaps what would work is eating a small snack during your normal "breakfast" time, something like a hardboiled egg or piece of cheese, and have another small snack a few hours later. Then eat lunch and dinner as normally scheduled. It's important NEVER to go more than 6 waking hours without food. So eat something, even if it's small, to keep your metabolism pumping.

| I agree with the others - having 'something' within a few hours of waking up is a good way to get your body burning fat!! Lately I have been making crustless quiches with meat and veggies in them and have a slice for my breakfast. Easy and quick to get ready if you are not a morning person!!

| I also agree with everyone.....definately eat breakfast. I usually try to have eggs and bacon....but if I'm in a rush I prepare egg salad the night before (1 egg and mayonnaise) and then I spread it on a Wasa cracker (3 net grams of carbs per cracker) and I have that. Or, I have creamcheese and tomato on it. OR....haha...in the "snacks" section you'll find a recipe for "Breakfast Muffins"...I don't know who the author is (but they're really good so way to go for posting that recipe!!!)....I made those and each one is only 1.3 carbs...so you could have a couple of those if you're in a real rush. It's just creamcheese, egg, vanilla and splenda. Either way, breakfast is very important, so try to make time for it. |

| You are right to query that, Minu The wasa crackers are definitely not induction-legal but the breakfast muffins might be depending on the ingredients. So as with any processed foods or any recipes, check the ingredients to make sure all of them are on the list of allowed foods before deciding which level of Atkins they are suitable for. If you are having constipation problems and therefore are allowed to include ground linseeds (flax) you could make some flax crackers.
