Oh, do I feel for you! I had mine done over 25 years ago and all I can remember is to not use a straw or eat anything that can get stuck back there.

I'm thinking some nice homemade chicken soup...pureed, or even some pureed cauliflower soup w/cheese. I saw a recipe for that somewhere here on the board that is Induction friendly. Maybe even eggs...scrambled, boiled, fried, etc. Most of the cooked veggies like broccoli, cauliflower are good for keeping up your veggies. I'm sorry if I'm not much help, but I sure hope you're able to find something

Feel better soon!

Sorry to hear you have that coming up. Anyway... apple took the words right out of my mouth... pureed soups, veggies and eggs! Also, very soft cheeses like gorgonzola would be nice (here in Italy gorgonzola literally drips... yumm!).

I had bitten a hole through my tongue a few years back. Baby foods are wonderful (altho... I HAD to add salt to the veggies.) I also like the potted meats by Underwood.. they have beef, chicken and ham. I would have to mix them with the veggies, because they were TOO salty!

You could get sugar free jello. That would be easy to eat. Make sure you don't suck too hard though...it can create negative pressure in your mouth which could dislodge the clot where the tooth has been pulled and create an infection. Make sure not to use straws when drinking. (Im in dental school)

Not dumb at all. It's probably a word that's used more often here, over the pond.
"Pureed" is the same as blended, or processed, usually in a blender... or rubbed through a strainer until it's a mush.
Some pureed soups are deeeeeelish!

Sally is right, you can puree any combination of cooked meat and vegetables to make nutritious and tasty easily-digested soups.
I usually add some reserved shreds of meat and veg to the soup as we like our soups with 'bits' in!!
