| Hi, Deb! Welcome to the induction experience. Yuo can expect your body to buck a bit as you wean it from carbs. The goal is not to starve it but rather feed it enough to be satisfied of hunger, without going over 20 net carb grams per day until it gives in to using fat forfuel instead of carbs. at that time, you shoulh feel less hungry and have more energy. (this may take 2-3 days). You only had meat and cheese, right, so far? You NEED to have some veggies, protien and fat, preferably some of each at every main meal, with the end result of your day's intake (calorically) being 5, 30, & 65% respectively. (check www.fitday.com if you want to check your menu's statistics). If you feel hungry, eat....you can have up to 4 oz cheese/day.... make sure you have the 2002 edition of D.A.N.D.R. (& review the induction stickys) so you know your limits. Take advantage of them! During initial induction, I greatly benefitted from celery & cream cheese, porkskins, bouillion, and home-made jerky. Lots of water along with plenty of electrolytes was especially helpful vs. "induction flu" on day 2. Good luck!

I am highly suspicious of cheese. It can make people cravey. How much carbs were in the cheese? Some cheese is carby. All cheese that is purchased in shops is a Processed food. Same with all Dairy that's been pasturized. A lot of good things are killed off during the treatment of dairy, in order for it to be given in public. This can make dairy a damaged food, and that does cause problems in some people.

| Welcome lindseyd. It sounds like you didnt eat much today. I know when I started I was not hungry for the first couple of days. Cheese has never done that to me though. Although I usually never eat cheese by it self. Good luck with this WOE. Give it some time and I think you will be very happy with the results.

| Hey lindseyd, sounds like you need some veggies and fat in your mix!! I'm only on day 3 of induction but find I kind fool my brain into thinking I've had more to eat by including a bit of everything at everymeal. Also, by doing this you are getting lots of flavours and textures and your meals are more interesting by far! Good luck with your induction xx |
