| I'll have to defer to the experts, but from what I have read, artificial sweetner is the cause of many stalls. I know there used to be a mint called, "Smint" that seemed kay for me, but I haven't been able to find it anywhere. I've been too scared to try gum as I think it was the reason for my failure last time. I have toothpaste and toothbrusha nd mouthwash at work. I also have sugar free breath spray, that I spray and then rinse. Oh and plenty of water...that will help too with keeping your mouth kind of occupied. Anyway, I'm interested to hear what others have to say too. |

| Thanks for the response, runn. I can't imagine a little bit of gum can cause a stall, amazing, huh? I am curious to see some other people's responses to see what has worked for them.

| I'm a gum girl as well but reading the labels of ALL the sugar free gums in the supermarket here, has pretty much cured me. They may not have sugar but they have 65g of carbs in 100g. I know you don't eat that much of them usually but that just shocked me. I'll stay away from that stuff for sure now.

| What cured me of using them was that we are allowed only 3 servings of sweetener a day, so using them on 3 little pieces of chewing gum seemed a bit extravagent!!
