Sit down with the Induction Acceptable Foods list and buy the foods that you like or are willing to try.

We all have such individual tastes and the list allows a pretty good variety, that I think it's almost impossible to give a generalized "shopping list".

What I did during my Induction was to make a copy of the list and take it with me when I did my grocery shopping, so if I saw something that was on sale or if it looked "good", I could see if it was allowable.

Default Re: Shopping

This has been my Induction Shopping List.

Water, bottled
avocados
mushrooms
onions
peppers (green and red)
Green Olives
beef steak
pork chops
chicken breasts
chicken wings
pepperoni for snacks
cheeses, (not processed)
cream cheese
Cream
butter
eggs
olive oil
garlic (fresh)
salmon
shrimp
tuna (canned)

I would like to add, that after some thought and reading the labels, I have not bought the following:
-Ham
-Sausages
-Bacon
There are too many sugars, or added sugar solutions that I have noticed in the above. Too much risk in eating them.

In fact, I think these are two things in the world you never want to let people see how they are actually made:
Laws and Sausages.

right....I only trust the butcher in my home town in Germany with the sausages

Anyway, sitting down with the Induction Acceptable Foods list is what I've done as well.
I've just bought everything I liked from the list and butter and some real cheese from the cheese shop in town even though I've cut back on the cheesey snacks now as I'm less hungry.
and meat, meat, meat...oh and fish...smoked mackerel...YUMMY.
I found that I get too few calories when eating chicken, so I'm going for pork and beef now but that's just me.
Oh and don't forget eggs, couldn't go without them, 2 12-egg packs per week are definitely gone.

*insert tiny thread-jack*
I have been making my own sage sausage for breakfast , it's been easy and very good. I make it the day before and leave it in the fridge to meld the spices.

1 lb ground pork (I have been using ground turkey alot though)
1/2 tbsp un-iodized salt
1/2 tsp rubbed sage (I do 1 tsp but I lurve me some sage)
1/3 tsp rubbed summer savory
1/8 tsp ground nutmeg
2/3 tsp ground marjoram
1/3 tsp fresh ground black pepper

Mix it, meld it, fix it, and eat it.
*end thread-jack*
