| I know how ya feel when the scale just doesn't show how diligent you are working. I find this board quite motivating and I try to keep the big picture in my mind of where I want to be. I had it tough last night at work, this lady brought in chocolate homemade bread and no bake cookies which are my favorite. I told her it looked so good but I couldn't have any on my diet. She said, oh you can have one bite...... I didn't do it . I was proud of myself. Also over the weekend my husband and I went out and he drank a few beers and I would have really liked to have joined him but I just drank my water with lemon, I must have drank 25 glasses of water. My husband commented on how good I was doing and said he was proud of me. But I was proud of myself...every time I make a good choice when I could so easily not...I gain confidence. But making good choices and not seeing immediate gratification on the scale is harder than the food choices. I just keep telling myself that all these people on this board have done it...so if I keep making the right choices I will someday be one of them.

| Good for you Boodizzle! Cindyz911, you will find that once you have a few days under your belt you will not want to spoil the work you have put into those "clean" days. Also, you will find your appetite decrease if you really pay attention to your body. Keep in mind all the good this WOE does for you and don't worry about the losing weight part. I am a Second Time Arounder (really, I think I have been around more like 1,295 times, but they don't have a club for that - hehe). And what I have learned this time is patience (and alot of other things about myself too!). My advice to you is sign in everyday in the Second Time Around Club. It is a great group of people who have sound advice and are very supportive and encouraging. I have learned TONS about this WOL there. |

| Thanks to everyone for your advise and motivating words.This place has always been helpful to me. I know what you mean Boodizzle my husband tells me I am doing great and in away he seems to try to mess me up.I do not believe its intentional but he brings home my favorite foods and its hard to walk away from them. I am also laid off for the month so I have more time and boredom brings on hunger. But instead of eating I have been doing some walking.My best friend Dawn is back at it also and thats good we keep each other honest.. Elizellen I do want to be around along time for my little Garrett so your words are very motivating for me. Tack Candy, I will visit the second time around club I need all the support I can get..
