| Welcome! You're going to love this way of eating and relating to food. Blue cheese salad dressing is great. SOME people find that caffeine slows or stalls their weight loss. I have never had that experience. Try it with the coffee, and if you hit a stall at some point after the first two weeks, then you can cut back. I'm not much of a meat eater, but I don't think there's such a thing as too much red meat in induction. I DO think that after about 3-4 days, you won't feel like eating very much at all, so expect that, and be prepared to make yourself eat anyway. 40 minutes walking a day is good, especially post-partum. If you want to gradually increase, or add weight training as you heal, that will be good, too. Good luck! Keep posting and reading other people's posts! |

| If you are breastfeeding, the weight loss phases of Atkins (Induction, On-Going Weight Loss, and Pre-Maintenance) are not recommended according to the book. The Lifetime Maintenance phase, however, is fine for pregnant and nursing women.
