Default Doing Induction Again

Hello everyone!

I am not new to this, and haven't really been off Atkins in the 23 months I have been enjoying this WOE. I am just having a hard time getting the last 30 pounds off. Although I haven't 'cheated' more than a handful of times in the last 23 months, I am realizing that I have stopped doing a lot of the things that I did in the beginning that made me so successful. I'm finding that even though you think you've made something a new habit, you can easily go back to your old ways--way too easy.

One example is that my goals to eat only at the table and not in front of the T.V., computer, or in bed; to eat slowly, putting my cutlery down between each small bite, and learning to enjoy my food; and not to eat after 7:00 p.m., were all instrumental in my success. I just realized this week that even though I still only eat at the table and don't eat after 7:00 p.m., I am again gulping down my food, barely chewing and not being aware just how good and filling my meal was. Therefore, I usually want more, because I didn't 'taste' the first servings. So it's back to the drawing board to make that a good habit--once again.

My weight has been bouncing around for several months, so I'm back to doing a really, really clean Induction and will slowly go back up the ladder, skipping those rungs that I know I'll have leave out of my diet forever--mainly grains and probably most fruit.

I am really enjoying going back to the beginning and refreshing my memory of why this works and why it has been so successful for me. I've kept a food journal the entire time with every bite of food and everything I drink logged, so I can go back and review what worked and what didn't.

I'm also getting a lot out of hanging out with those of you that are just starting out for the first time or a re-starting after a long hiatus. I am on Day 8 and doing great!

Sunny!
