Default Flax Seed?

When can you use it? I mean in what phase? Also what does it look like? I have not been to a healt food store in forever, and I wonder what I am supposed to look for.

Default Re: Flax Seed?

We can use small quantities (0ne tablespoon) on induction in order to help solve any constipation problems, but to use it as a normal ingredient in larger quantities we need to wait till the seeds/nuts rung of OWL

Here is a closeup photo of golden flax (called linseed outside USA)

I always buy the golden variety but the brown is cheaper and just as good though it does taste different I have read on these forums.

It is sold in most health food shops around the world, and I hear also in some supermarkets in USA

Is it ok to have flaxseed oil as a part of a supplement (capsule) on induction?

Has it affected your weight loss? I haven't started yet. I start on Monday. I'm just trying to get prepared (vitamins, recipes, etc.) so that I don't set myself up for any kind of failure. I REFUSE to fail at losing this weight this time.

I havent notice a stall in weightloss when using one tablespoon of flaxmeal. There is a recipe for flaxmeal cookies. (under snacks) The cookies arent so bad...but they're not that great either. Good Luck!

Thank you Scaleskl for your response! It's greatly appreciated. I think I'm going to try to avoid sweets altogether. I am the type that can't eat just one sweet and be done - it sets off a pattern (binge). Not good! Sort of like the Lays potato chip where it says you can't just eat one.

Default Re: Flax Seed?

If you want to just use a bit of flax seed, you can sprinkle it in scrambled eggs. (I buy flax seed meal already ground.) I also sprinkle it in yellow squash for a bit of texture.
Would probably go good in a lot of veggie recipies.
