Default Veggie soup - need advice

Hi, as you know i am on induction. I really like soups and even though we are not allowed potatoes or carrots, but i would only need one each to make a huge pot (probably about 6 servings). Can i have it?

No you cant, you can only eat the vegetables that appear on the legal list for induction. and even then only in the quantities that are stated. Either 2 cups or 1 cup per day.

You need to fill yourself up with fat and protein. The % ratio for induction is as follows -

65% fat
30% protein
5% carbs. And those 5% of carbs generally come from the veggies, and only those listed. Experience will show you that its the fat and protein that makes you satisfied (hunger wise) for longer

Potatoes and carrots are not on the acceptable Foods list for Induction Phase. During my Induction phase, I made soups but I didn't use potatoes or carrots and they turned out fine.

Also, is there any reason why you are trying to fill yourself up on soup?

Try making your soup a cream based one with Heavy cream and butter you can spice up the cream with a little beef or chicken broth too for more flavor then chop up your favorite legal veggies and toss in some chucky chicken and wala you have a fabulous legal soup!!!!!

I've discovered that turnips make a great potato sub in soups or stews. They take on the flavor of the meat and broth and we can't tell they aren't potatoes. HTH!
