Default Day 14 of Induction - Weigh in

I am on my 14th day of induction, and I weighed in this morning. I lost 9lbs. I am very happy. I wish it was more, but 9 pounds is great.

I started at 206 and I am now down 15lbs. I was on weight watchers before Atkins. I have done Atkins before and it always works for me.

I read the book a long time ago. I dont know if I should extend induction or move to phase two now.

This weekend we are going away. I am going to have a problem sticking to atkins for two days, but I will try.

Good Morning Scott...! Congrats on your Loss...! Good Job...! i only lost 2.5 lbs during my 14 days on Induction, but then i moved right into OWL and lost 6 more the 1st week (More Veggies!!!) it might be a good thing to do! and try really hard not to mess up while your gone ok? im sure there will be plenty of Legal foods out there to eat... it IS up to YOU to decide... Keep Up The Good Work...! YOU CAN DO THIS...!!!

Having stuck on extended induction both previous times on Atkins, I decided this time to try doing OWL immediately.

It's fantastic. I say, go for it.

What types of food should I add if I want to go to the next phase instead of sticking on induction?

BudsVTEC..Hello..I am reaching out to male members here to share with me what you menu or food plan is for a given day. I cant seem to understand what exactly to do, Im an idiot but i really need to get started. Please if you a have a spare minute, let me know what it is youre eating and how many times per day. Youve done really well and I know this is a great WOL I just need a place to start.

MarkO, I'm not a male. But since Dr. Atkins didn't write two diets---one specifically for men and the other specifically for women---I feel I'm a little qualified to answer your question.

Get a copy of and read Dr. Atkins New Diet Revolution, 2002 edition. That book will tell you how the diet works, how to do the diet properly and what you may eat. The absolute worst mistake you can make is to do Atkins by how someone else did it. We've seen plenty of people do "Atkins" the wrong way. So save yourself a load of grief and frustration and get a copy of the book.
