| Hello Promise, Thank you for your quick response! It's good to know that TOM could be the reason for my stall. I will keep going as I have been. Boo TOM - go away!! ;-) |

| This woe is no different in any other so far as how TOM affects us. If you typically retain some extra water weight, you're still going to. Perhaps you weren't as keenly aware of what has gone on before with it because you weren't watching as closely as you are now. Aside from that, you're not going to see a loss every day, couple of days, every week and there may even be times where you don't see a loss for more than a month. It's ALL normal. This isn't magic and it's not going to happen over night. But yes....TOM kicks my butt every month. He announces his impending arrival with a solid 2-3lb gain for me. *grrr*

| Everyone's different. TOM has no effect on me - When I did Atkins a few years back I paid particular attention because there were so many posts on the board about TOM stalls and weight gain. But for me it made no difference. Same this time - it arrived during week 1 of induction and I still lost. But from what I've heard and read, it does affect many women and that could very well be the cause of your stall.

| On atkins in the past, I found that TOM was so much easier for me, the symptoms were reduced dramatically! I'm on day 4 of induction, TOM is trying to start and I've still lost. Make sure you get your water in and exercise. I wouldn't worry about it too much, you'll see that whoosh when its gone! Tracey

| I'm also on day 10 and AF is supposed to arrive in a couple of days. I stepped on the scale and gained 2 pounds! I was going to ask this same question. I'm thankful to know that I'm not alone - thanks all for sharing!!

| I just thought of this, you are both on day 10 or so? Maybe give it a few days, your body has to catch up! You are doing great, keep it up, you'll see the scale move or better yet - did you measure your inches?? Tracey
