| Amen, Megs! This is TRULY, TRULY a very healthy eating plan when done correctly. If you are going to put all this effort into "doing Atkins", make sure that your efforts are worthwhile. The way to make it all worthwhile, and effective, is to do it the way Dr. Atkins intended. I think it's really sad to watch so many people "Do Atkins", but do it incorrectly and struggle (needlessly) or even self-torture themselves (once again, needlessly). They ultimately fail at the diet, and themselves. It doesn't have to be that way at all. There is something very FREEING when we finally quit fighting with food. Dr. Atkins gives us a plan that FREES us from the addiction. It's up to us, as individuals, to make the choice to do it, or NOT. And, I totally agree with you here, if you are not following the plan the way he wrote it in the book, you are CHOOSING NOT to do it.
