Default Cheese

I was wondering how much cheese can you have on a daily basis. I love cheese and I have been eating it at every meal. My brother did a low carb diet last year and lost 26 lbs in 3 weeks. He told me that all he ate was meat, cheese, eggs (as much as he desired) and then a cup of veggies per day. Does that sound right?

Nevermind. I just found out what I needed to now, although I do have one more question. I have been eating pepporoni, which has 0 carbs but 1gm of sugar. Is this ok?

There is no sugar in the ingredients of the pepporoni but now i am concerned after looking at the ingredient of the turkey bacon that i have been so frequently eating, there is sugar in the ingredients of the turkey. Great!!!!

Default Re: Cheese

read the ingredients on EVERYTHING you buy, anything that says sugar or has dextrose, lactose (anything ending in 'ose') is a big NO!

Dont worry about it too much, whats done is done. just watch everything you eat!
Most processed foods have something bad in them.

OTHER FOODS THAT ARE ACCEPTABLE DURING INDUCTION
Cheese
You can consume three to four ounces daily of the following full-fat, firm, soft and semisoft aged cheeses*, including:

* cheddar
* cow, sheep and goat cheese
* cream cheese
* Gouda
* mozzarella
* Roquefort and other blue cheeses
* Swiss

*All cheeses have some carbohydrate content. The quantity you eat should be governed by that knowledge. The rule of thumb is to count 1 ounce of cheese as equivalent to 1 gram of carbohydrate. Note that cottage cheese, farmer’s cheese and other fresh cheeses are not permitted during Induction. No "diet" cheese, cheese spreads or whey cheeses are permitted. Individuals with known yeast symptoms, dairy allergy or cheese intolerance must avoid cheese. Imitation cheese products are not allowed, except for soy or rice cheese—but check the carbohydrate content.
