| welcome to the club. I had a brie bake on xmas eve. Its brie baked with some kind of dough wrapper, with sugar and walnuts. I had way too many rum and diet cokes. I know a lot of people got through the holidays cheat free, I am not one of them. I will use this feeling to motivate me to exercise. Exercise is the best cure for guilt. If we fall down 10,000 times; lets get up 10,001.

| Fwiw, I cheated once on Christmas day (4 years ago) and I was full of so much guilt afterwards that it has kept me strong ever since. Think of it as a blessing in disguise, it will help keep you motivated if when ever you are tempted you think back to how gutted you are feeling right now. Just don't do it again ;-) Good luck Rich

| Since you are still on Induction, you only need to pick up where you left off. "Starting over" from Day 1 is not necessary. If yesterday was Day 11, then today is Day 12. In addition to getting back on plan, the most important thing is to figure out what triggered you to fall off. Then, you will need to figure out what to do when that situation or a similar one will arise again---and it will too.

| Hi JL, it's ok. This is a WOL not a quick fix. We are going to make mistakes along the way. The key is to learn from them and keep moving. Don't beat yourself up. You did good by confessing it and getting back on track. Do what you have to do to keep moving. Bless you.

| Every time I'm tempted to cheat, I think of having the frikkin induction flu again, and so far, that has kept me cheat-free. Feeling like crap for a few days is a great deterent. I guess that's like sticking the dogs nose in his pooh everytime he craps on the carpet----eversion therapy----- however, I think long-term, that kind of reasoning fails, because what happens is instead of getting back on an experiencing the induction flu, we just keep on eating carbs. Then we wind up back here a few years later...... |

| Yup, I'm dusting myself off as well... a month of cheating left me 10 lbs heavier... and now I'm 2 days into induction... and feeling much better again... swelling is going down etc... It's good to be clean again! lol! liz |
