Unhappy Crap!! help?

Well.. I had seen a recipe for induction a while back that said you could use vanilla extract. So to curb my sweet tooth I made this atkins friendly frosting with cream cheese, butter and splenda and adding a splash of vanilla extract. thing is i looked only and it says it has 13g of Sugar Under Carbs so confused, did I just royally mess up? Would like to know so I can pick myself back up and start again, thanks for your time. Lindsey.

Just continue on. Chalk it up to a lesson learned..read the ingredients/nutrition BEFORE you eat it.

You don't have to "start over" or anything like that, just keep going.

WTH vanilla extract has carbs? I NEVER EVER would have thought that.

Yes, Different varieties/brands of vanilla extract has sugar. As with anything else, you have to read the labels.

You also have to check how many carbs splenda has. Sometimes it says only 2 carbs but how many 2 carbs worth are you putting in it?

Sometimes things can surprise us. I did Atkins for several weeks before realising that tea and coffee have carbs! What a shock! Good thing I was never a coffee or tea addict, so had only had a "normal" amount daily.
