| Quote:
Make sure you follow the Rules: eat to satisfy your hunger and don't go more than 6 waking hours without eating something. So if 1 egg satisfies your hunger, that's all you eat. But be sure that you have food at hand in case your hunger returns after a couple of hours and you need to eat something. This is a re-learning process. When we were babies and toddlers, we only ate the amount of food we needed to eat for our energy needs. As we grew older, we learned from well meaning adults to "eat everything on our plates" before leaving the table or to eat something eventhough we weren't hungry because Auntie Ida made it especially for us and it would hurt her feelings terribly if you didn't eat it right now. As a result, we unlearned our natural appetite cues. Take this opportunity to re-learn those natural cues and listen to your body about how much food it needs to eat. Don't worry, you won't starve because your body won't let you starve. You might get hungry between your meals, but it's okay to have a snack on Atkins.
