| Double cream would be a better choice for induction.

| Ya, I checked the website too and couldn't figure what the value is without the sugar. Emma? Wouldn't double cream in a coffee be waaaay more then 2-4 Tablespoons? I may be wrong, but are we not supposed to only have no more then 2-4 tblsp of cream per day ? ( is realllllly hoping I'm wrong hehe) |

| I have 1/2 and 1/2 cream here at home. One the label it is has 0 carbs, but 1 gram of sugar per 15 ml. I think Tim Hortons cream is heavier then 1/2 and 1/2 cream. This is the only food item I am struggling with to get proper information on....or even find the proper cream. <<<Sent hubby out for Decaf coffee and the heaviest cream he could find with 0 carbs and 0 sugars ( if it exists)>>>>>>>> I love the taste of coffee......so even going down to decaf is okay with me, I don't think I could handle it black tho! Coffee ( decaf) is a "treat" to me and may be what is stopping any cravings that might otherwise be there. |

| From looking at the Horton's site it looks to me as though the 'single cream' refers to a single portion of cream, as distinct from a type of cream. As ths site states, the decaff with a single cream and sugar has 9 carbs. That's about equivalent to 2 teaspoons of sugar, so at a wild guess I'm thinking if you asked for it without sugar you would be fine. Or maybe not, since some places automatically add sugar to their cream, so the only safe way is to ask. In the UK and Ireland the term 'single cream' has a specific meaning. It is a pouring cream, with about 12% fat, which is not dissimilar to US half and half. We also have whipping cream, which is the same as in the US, 35% fat. What we call double cream on the other hand has about 48% fat. I find it a bit much in hot drinks but is fabulous for cooking as it doesn't separate - a dollop in soup is magical. Then there is clotted cream, which has up to 60% fat and is a cooked cream, this is truely a food of the gods - rich, yellow and meltingly creamy.

| At Tim Hortons, you can ask for your cream on the side. This is the best way to handle your cream intake. Comes in one of those little plastic cream containers you get pretty much everywhere. That way you know exactly how much you are getting. When they add cream behind the counter, it's either free poured from a carton or dispensed from a machine and extremely hard to measure. Best of luck! ~Far la bella figura!
