| Depends on which book you read. '72- no. '02 - iffy, but really, no. Anything after '02 was written by Atkins Nutritionals (the people who make the shakes) and they say yes. Avoid them for your best chance at success. If it isn't on the Allowed Foods List, it shouldn't cross your lips. Eat real food and you'll be more successful! You can do a search on "Atkins Shakes" and see all the threads on them.

| I feel that Dr Atkins would have thought of using shakes instead of 'real food' as a meal substitute in the same way as he talked of not juicing veggies. Quote:
