Default A Dilemma (kind of)

Hi. I recently just started getting back on the bandwagon after about a year. (Recently being like...today) Anyway, I work as a stock and delivery guy for a local business and I every attempt I've tried to start atkins is usually accompanied by some really massive headaches. My job requires me to move around 800 cases of various weights to different places, that would be for about 4 hours, but for the rest of the day I drive around in a van. I usually eat some high carb snack before I start work, (5 in the morning). However, whenever I try to eat a lower carb snack, such as some cheese and some sausage, I almost instantly feel the effects of low blood sugar. I'm a young guy, and I would like to know what I could eat in the morning to help give me that extra boost.

I'm going to venture a guess you're not feeling low blood sugar, you are starting to feel the effects of carb withdrawal that we all have to push through the first week or so. Proteins and fat keep your blood sugar constant and even, carbs cause the spikes and dips. Maybe you need to start this WOE on your days off? You should feel the boost naturally, and soon, after a few days.

I think you need a heartier breakfast? a big english breakfast should hit the spot?

bacon, sausage (both sugar and filler free) eggs, mushrooms...

it will only last a couple of days so as Bette said, your other option is to start this on your days off!
