| Hi Mandi ![]() Welcome to our ADBB family of losers ![]() It seems to me from your questions that you have not yet read the 'manual' for our way of eating, Atkins. You need to get hold of a copy and read up on this change in approach to food and nutrition before committing to it. Though there is a lot of good info here in our FAQ forum it isnt as helpful as reading Dr Atkins New Diet Revolution 2002 will be in explaining the 'why' behind the 'what to eat' part of following Atkins.

| I agree with Elizellen. If you haven't read Dr. Atkins New Diet Revolution 2002 edition, do so. There are over 50 vegetables we are allowed to eat, in addition to meats and fats. Not to mention we all have individual tastes and preferences. So get a hold of the Induction Acceptable Foods list and see what you like to eat from that list and make up your menu based on your food preferences. Being able to eat the foods you like will make your Atkins experience much more enjoyable and easier to stick with. You can only imagine the number of posts I've read where people complain: "Everyone says to eat tuna and I hate tuna!!!! What can I eat?"

| Thanks Ladies for replying to my post. I bought "Dr. Adkins New Diet Revolution". I have read it. I think I may need to read it, again. lol I just can't seem to "understand" alot of it. I guess it's where I don't know diddly about carbs, yet. I tried to start this diet this past Mon. Breakfast was... 2 fried eggs, 2 sausage links. Lunch was 2oz colby cheese, a salad of green veggies, and a baked chicken breast. Dinner was another chicken breast, mashed cauliflower (with butter and heavy whipping cream) and a salad. I also ate some pistachios, then read that I'm NOT suppose to have them during the induction phase!! Please help!!! |
