| IT really depends on how it's made. If they add sugar to it, then avoid it. But if it's made the real, authentic way, it might be okay.

| As Megs said, it all depends on what is in it ![]() The only way to tell is either to make it yourself from ingredients that are 'legal' or to ask and hope they tell you the truth. If you do ask, make sure you explain that you dont want anything with sugar in it or with fruit which I have seen listed as ingredients for recipes for kimchi! One recipe claiming to be authentic had apple, orange and lemon slices in it as well as carrots

| Thahnks. I know a neighbor asian market where they make it from scratch, and it tastes pretty authentic (no sweet flavor, etc), but let me ask them to make sure. |
