| Mrs Brittney! Tell about the spaghetti squash. I have always been curious about those, but have never tried one. Can you describe the texture, or am I just going to have to be brave? You cut it in half, and it's got noodly things inside, right??? LOL-ing at myself...!

| Thanks Theamazingunderdog........That's very interesting about the candida causing cravings. And I have done a little "cheating". Let me explain, after 48 hours I got incredibly sick, so much so that it scared me and so I yelled for my husband to bring me some sugar....I scarfed down an entire chocolate hostess pie and within minutes I was better. I continued induction as if it never occured and 48 hours later it happened again, this time I opted for a healthier DanActive yogurt drink (6 carbs) and some banana chips. And again I continued induction as if it never occured. Probably not the best thing to do, but I don't do it because it sounds yummy, it's because the "withdrawal attacks" are very intense and scary. So is it still cheating? Maybe not, the few extra banana chips that I ate a little later were probably not necessary.. Kristi thanks for the pics of the spaghetti squash, never had it.....will pick some up tomorrow, it looks great! So I bought a membership at Anytime Fitness three months ago, and this evening I went to work out (for the second time in three months) and I felt GREAT! I can't wait to go again Thursday. It's not the exercise that kills me, it's the getting off the couch, getting dressed and driving across town all without convincing myself that maybe tomorrow will be a better day to go

Today's menu: Breakfast - 4 slices of bacon. Too lazy to make eggs. Lunch - 2 thin pork sirloins, 1 cup of cauliflower with cheese and a dollop of sour cream (tastes like faux mac & cheese - I swear!) Snack - 1 cup of celery sticks, 1 mozzarella stick Dinner - I've got 2 rib eyes in the fridge that I'll probably grill on my indoor grill, and it looks like I need another cup of salad veggies, so I'll probably just do a boring iceberg salad with shredded cheese and ranch dressing. Oh! And maybe some bacon. Nothing makes iceberg lettuce taste good like bacon! Happy Wednesday everyone! |

| Morning everyone!! I like this little rollcall we have going! =) The spaghetti squash was really easy to cook - I've never even purchased one before and I have about zero patience for difficult cooking so I was nervous but yeah, you open it up, and its got some seeds/dark orange you just pull out and then the rest you could nearly pull out with your bare hands and it would still be noodle shaped. Also, that little squash made a LOT more noodles than I had anticipated - looks like we'll be eating it again tonight! LOL .. Its somewhat sweet. Not quite a fruit, but not quite a vegetable. Bland-ish, which is how I prefer some of my veggies LOL. I'm not very adventurous yet in that department. It works fine with the cheese sauce, I really liked it - but just note that it isn't "spaghetti" texture. Its soft and pliable but has more crunch. This morning we decided to test our ketostix to see if we've made it into ketosis. I felt bad because mine turned a decent shade of purple but my hubbie's was still at trace - he was so frustrated. :/

| I really need to try to start using some recipes. I just haven't sat down to plan anything out. I've got that link for that low carb website that was posted in another thread, and a lot of the recipes look delicious. I need to be more planned out like some of you are. I'm just kinda playing it by ear right now. Probably not a good way to go! |
