Question The Deal with Coffee

so..its almost 5 pm...I thought I would try really hard to get through my first induction day at work without coffee...i was able to resist the morning coffee but the 4pm coffee...just had to have it...so...i know the book said we can drink decaf coffee but have to be careful (is one cup a day acceptable?)...now I added one packet of splenda to it and ...here goes...Half and Half...!!!!!!...did I break a rule? Is half and Half allowed? If not I guess I should have asked before getting the coffee...wat can I use instead? cream? what kind of cream?

Many thanks.

Minu

I believe you can have 1 or 2 tbsp of heavy cream/half-n-half a day, so you can utlize that as creamer. I don't have my book right in front of me so I'm not more help!

Remember to count 1 carb per packet of splenda. I'm a coffee-aholic, too, so I know the craving!

Half and half is I think half cream & half milk, so not really induction-legal.

Use cream instead - if heavy cream (what we call double cream in UK) is too thick you can thin it with water to use in place of milk in recipes too.

I drink coffee too... just one a day....I use liquid splenda exclusively at home...I have the little tablets for going out...I avoid the packets...too expensive, too many carbs.

Ah! I don't ever use half-n-half, so I'm glad I got to learn a little tidbit about the difference! =)
