| We'd love to help, but we need something to work with. What about posting your menu so that someone can check if there's anything "fishy" on it? There might be hidden sugars or other illegal ingredients you are not aware of. Also, how much do you have to lose? Are you eating veggies, drinking a lot of water, exercising, etc.? Post your menu and hang in there. We all did little mistakes when starting Atkins (and even after months of doing it

| It's completely normal for weight to go up and down, even on induction. I've been on plan for six months now and it happens to me all the time. As long as I know I am eating legally I don't worry about it because the trend is always downward. Post you're menu and we'll look for any red flags but the best thing to do it complete your 14 days of a clean induction and weigh at the end. Then move onto OWL. |

| Yesterday my menu was: Breakfast: Two fried eggs (fried in butter) 2 cups of caffienated coffee with Heavy Cream (no sweetner at all) Lunch: 1C tuna wrapped in a piece of lettuce Dinner: 6 oz of Salmon basted in butter an lemon juice 2 cups of broccoli Drank 64 oz. of water throughout the day. The veggies are confusing for me. I am limited on what I like and only like broccoli, cauliflower, lettuce, tomato. I will try new things once I get comfortable with this diet and comfortable with how to cook things. Any help is appreciated. I have already decided that since I'm not having any real issues with the eating habits that I'm going to stay on Induction indefinitely. I love the new way of eating and decided that I didn't even need the Splenda and that I can do without the sugars. I'm also exercising every night. I am walking two miles on the treadmill and doing 10 to 15 on the elliptical.

| The same thing happened to me...I had been stalled at 137 for 3 days and then gained a pound the next day. Now I'm back to 137. I guess it's just due to hidden carbs. I eat out a lot because I don't have time to cook every meal, but I try to ask as many questions as possible to make sure I'm not eating any of the bad stuff. It's so frustrating! This weight stall has made me especially cranky since I have been sacrificing all my favorite foods...my poor boyfriend has to deal with it |

| I was actually really excited that I had decided to do something about my weight and was even more excited when I started seeing the pounds coming off. BUT now that I stalled I'm crabby and want to eat! I have done well and haven't gone off plan and don't intend to since I know I'm an emotional eater but I want my "Prom Queen" body back! I cook all my meals because I own my own company and work from home so I'm extremely lucky in that respect but HOW FRUSTRATING!!!!!

| Michelea, Have you tried logging your menu into fitday? I am thinking you are not eating enough. And perhaps not enough fat. No majo with the tuna? Fitday is very helpful to me - keeps me on the tight and narrow. You don't eat meat? Keep trying veggies. There are so many out there and so many ways to prepare them - you may surprise yourself. And I think that once we get out of all the carby/sugar stuff we change our tastes somewhat. So you never know. Check out the recipe section and get creative.

Take a look at all the veg on the first list - it includes mushrooms, peppers, celery, radish, daikon, jicama and others as well as lettuce. If you are not keen on salads they try them cooked - red peppers sautéd in butter make a good sauce for meats, celery braised in butter or oils is a tasty side dish, radishes can be boiled to take the bitterness and red colour out of them and used instead of potatoes in many dishes, jicama can be eaten raw like an apple or pear (with some fat to keep blood sugar spikes at bay), etc, etc Quote:

good for you ![]() Keep up the good work! Weigh after your 14th day to see how much weight in total you have lost over the 2 weeks then look at the chart in DANDr to see how metabolically resistant to weightloss you are in order to plan your Atkins journey towards your goal

| I highly recommend not staying on induction indefinitley. Induction is not designed to be a lifelong eating plan. Dr. Atkin's intended for us to do induction to detox and get into ketosis and then learn to eat for life by doing OWL, Pre-Maintainance and Maintainance. The first time around I stayed in induction for 6 months, lost 40 pounds but gained it all back plus more because no one can be satisifed eating induction foods forever. This time around I am six months in, have lost almost 40 pounds again and am working my was through OWL. I can say without a doubt I eat better this time around and enjoy adding foods back into my diet. And I know that by doing Atkins the way the Dr. intended I will not be losing the weight for a third time. |

| I cannot weigh every day because when I do and I see it going up, I freak out. I am getting better at it but it still bothers me even though I know it is normal. There was a guy here who weighed every day and wrote down his weights. Some days he lost, some days he gained and some days he stayed the same. Your body is kinda in a "What's going on??" stage and is trying to adjust to the fluctuations. Plus, the weight change you are seeing may not even be due to fat but to other factors such as fluid. This post may help you. Also, I need to look up in your DANDR the definition of a "stall" it involves weeks, not days. http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard.c...ead.php?t=6737 (Why the scales can lie) Hope this helps. Good luck. |
