Default Re: I'm on day four, but the question is.......

You are still in induction right? Instead of lettuce, you might choose a vegetable that has more carbs in it. ...say have 1 cup of broccoli instead of a cup of lettuce. I like jicama. It is on the induction list and at first look it seems to have a lot of carbs but half of it is fiber and you subtract those. I think it helps keep me from getting constipated too.

Yes, today was day 5 for me. I don't even know what jicama is. LOL!!!!! Maybe I will stick to broccoli.

Jicama to me is a replacement for apples/pears. What area do you live in Wishfire?

Now that I am off sweeteners and such, it tastes sweet to me. it has the consistency or crunch/bite of a very firm pear.

I live in the UK....I searched online to see if i could find out where to buy it but no luck...
I found out it's used in oriental cooking but couldn't find it in chinese supermarkets or china town in london.....and normal supermarkets never heard of it

Oh no, I don't know if anyone in the UK has found it. Do you have any Hispanic/Latin markets around you? It looks like a huge turnip but it is pale dirt colored. It is a root.
