Default Veggie/Carb question

I am on day 8 of induction. Thus far, my carb diet has consisted of salad veggies, cauliflower (1 day), and brocolli (1 day). Mostly just salads thus far though (3 cups each day).
Last night, I tried pumpkin as my last 5 carbs allowed. Today, I am wondering ... because I was reading how the OWL rungs work and how if you have never had a veggie on induction you should only add it 3 days the first week.
At this point, still in induction, should I worry about only eating it 3 days this week? Or is it safe to have it with my 2 cups of salad for the rest of the week?

I hope this makes sense. I just really enjoyed the pumpkin, but want to make sure I do not make a bad choice here.

Thanks in Advance!

When you are on induction and eating under 20 carbs you should be able to pick from the allowed veggie lists as you please and there is no need for the OWL thing.

However, you should make sure you restrict yourself when eating from the "Other Vegetables" list. You can only have one cup.

Thanks for the response. That is what I thought, since it was the first two weeks, but then reading (getting ready for the move to rung 1), I got a little concerned.

Well done for asking

And you can have a whole cup of pumpkin as your 'other veg' 1 cup if you like, not just 5 net grams which is about 2/3rds of one cup I think.
