| It is a good question. The problem is we are all so different and there are so many factors that there is no way to tell. Do you see that sticker here titled "Weightloss is not linear" it is a good one to read Weight loss is not linear I think it is a very good idea to set up mini goals but it is better to set them without putting a time on it. It is better for your body to do what is natural than for you to push for some artifical goal and then get super down if you do not make it. After all the most important thing is to have it move in the right direction.

| Hi Clarey I agree, it is just impossible to tell really. I have set up mini goals which I obviously try to reach as soon as poss but they have no time scale on them. I also have a long term focus - my current being that I'd like to lose as much weight as possible before my 20 year later school reunion! I obviously have a timescale for that and have set an achievable weight target for it too. Great job on the 6 pound loss x |

| Well done so far, Clarey ![]() I agree with not setting rigid time/weightloss goals as they can be self defeating if your body decides not to comply. We see many members panic-ing after not reaching a goal and sometimes deciding to give up after 'failing' to reach them. Better to set goals that you can have some control over - like: Stay on plan for x days Exercise x times a week Drink xx ounces of water a day Get my 3 cups of veggies in every day and so on.
